Vicksburg’s Ward 1 Alderman Thomas “T.J.” Mayfield presented December’s round of AMAZE awards earlier this month recognizing young people for outstanding achievements and community involvement. 

Mayfield began the AMAZE Community Service Award in August. The award, which stands for Alderman Mayfield Award for Zeal and Excellence and is named after his late father – former Ward 1 Alderman Michael Mayfield, is given monthly to an individual or individuals who display dedication and commitment to the betterment of the City of Vicksburg.

December’s winners included Lauren Flagg, Trystan Stewart, Aaron Constancio and Thadious Henderson.
