Louisiana State Police (LSP) is investigating a homicide that took place Thursday on Byson Road in Madison Parish.

“At approximately 3:25 p.m., Louisiana State Police Detectives-Monroe Field Office (LSP MFO) were requested by the Madison Parish Sheriff’s Office (MPSO) to investigate a homicide,” LSP officials said. “Initial findings from the investigation revealed an incident occurred in the 500 block of Byson Road, which resulted in one person being pronounced deceased. LSP MFO will serve as the lead investigating agency, with MPSO assisting. The investigation remains active and ongoing. No further information is available at this time.”

LSP said anyone with information and/or pictures and video regarding the crime is urged to share that information with LSP detectives.
