VPD searching for missing man

The Vicksburg Police Department (VPD) is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man.

VPD said 24-year-old Jamarkus Prentiss was last seen Tuesday wearing a black sweatshirt, black sweatpants, black flip flops, white sunglasses with dark lenses and a gay towel or T-shirt wrapped around his head. He is a Black male, approximately 5’8″ tall and weighing approximately 120 pounds.

VPD said Prentiss has shoulder-length dreadlocks, minimal facial hair and a large tattoo on his right inner forearm.

He was last seen leaving 105 Village Drive on a blue Huffy Rock It 20-inch bicycle. He is known for walking slowly with his head down in the area of Village Drive and Main Street, VPD said.

Prentiss has medical issues and has not been taking his medication. VPD is asking that anyone with information about Prentiss or his whereabouts, call the police department at 601-636-2511.
