Years of service: City of Vicksburg employees honored in January

In January, the City of Vicksburg honored 17 employees across 12 departments for a combined 111 years of service during Board of Mayor and Aldermen meetings held throughout the month.

January’s honorees included:

Monday, Jan. 6: Katina Cooper with eight years of service to the Vicksburg Police Department; Jeffrey Hearn with 10 years of service to the Vicksburg Fire Department.

Friday, Jan. 10: Billy Muirhead with one year of service to the gas department; Aubreuna Carson with three years of service to animal control; Thomas Anderson with three years of service to the building maintenance department; Roderick Williams with three years of service to the sewer department; Eddie Sanders with three years of service to the building maintenance department; Daryl Carson with 25 years of service to the ambulance department.

Tuesday, Jan. 21: Scott Jones with one year of service to the street department; Chanise Harris with one year of service to the community service department; Marilyn Bradford with one year of service to the court services department; Carol Sullivan with one year of service to the human resources department; Michael Battle with two years of service to the Vicksburg Police Department; Jeremy Cooper with two years of service to the ambulance department; John Morson with seven years of service at the airport; Daniel Greer with 20 years of service to the ambulance department; Charles Greer with 20 years of service to the Vicksburg Fire Department.
